The Nidecker Instinct Series is built around the idea that nature knows best. For this unique collection, Nidecker incorporates shapes and strategies found in the natural world for a more intuitive feel on snow. The Nidecker Beta Snowboard is built for freeride, with a notched swallowtail that allows for effortless float in deep pow. A subtle “drop out” in the tail outline takes its cues from the wings of a bird in flight, while the nose shape mimics that of a dolphin. If you’re not already sold, a couple slashes in the white room should do the job.

Core

NDK Swiss Core

NDK Swiss Core is the heart and soul that makes the new Instinct Series so special. Its name tells you all you need to know. This core is crafted in Switzerland with passion from sustainably harvested, light poplar wood.

Laminates

Exclusive Nidactive Sandwich

This next level construction steps up the power and response of Nidecker's standard sandwich manufacturing. Adding advanced materials like Carbon and Kevlar® gives the board more pop and improved shock absorption.

Biax Plus

Biax Plus retains the properties of Nidecker's tried and tested 90° biaxial fiberglass weave with more glass to enhance power transfer. It's uncompromising in its response and energy return, and loved and coveted by riders searching for a good blend of stiff & damp wherever they rip.

Pop Carbon

Strategic placement of carbon fiber from the tail to the rear inserts, and from the nose to the front inserts, resulting in a more reactive board, with increased pop and stiffness. It's vibration dampening qualities make it ideal for more aggressive riding in all conditions.

Base

N-7000

Developed exclusively for Nidecker, the N-7000 is an extremely tough, sintered base with added carbon nanoparticles that provide exceptional glide.

Topsheet

Absorbnid

This innovative top layer has been developed to absorb unwanted vibrations allowing for responsive and dynamic boards that still give you a smooth and comfortable ride.

    Terrain

    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice. Freeride
Freeride snowboards are designed for the rider that spends most of the day off groomed runs and in backcountry terrain. They typically have a stiffer flex and are ridden in longer sizes than freestyle snowboards. Freeride snowboards often feature a directional shape that is designed to perform optimally in one direction.

    Ability Level

    Intermediate-Advanced
Whether you’re a progressing intermediate exploring new runs and terrain, or an accomplished rider seeking new thrills, the majority of skiers and snowboarders fall into this level. Intermediate to advanced skis and snowboards may be somewhat wider or stiffer than beginner-intermediate skis and snowboards, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Intermediate to advanced boots and bindings range from softer flexing freestyle options to stiffer choices built for stability at speed.

  • Rocker Type:

    Rocker Type

    Rocker/Camber/Rocker
Rocker/Camber/Rocker shapes seek to give you both hard-carving edgehold on firm snow from camber underfoot with enhanced turnability and float in powder from the rockered tip and tail. This profile is increasingly popular for freeride boards designed primarily for soft snow.

    Flex Rating

    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboardflex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
