C2X

A shorter, more aggressive banana rocker combined with cambers that sit more underfoot. Extra solid tip and tail pressure for power, pop, precision and end-to-end stability combined with a medium amount of pressure between your feet for carving, edge hold on ice and float in pow.

Flex

Medium – Stiff

Stout enough to charge your hardest but without excessive harshness.

Shape

Volume Shifted

Ride this board 3-6 cm shorter than your normal board.

Lightweight Spin Slim Tip / Tail

Core

Techno Pop Construction

Core: 30% Aspen / 25% Paulownia / 45% PET (recycled plastic bottles) Glass: Unidirecitonal carbon with 30˚ Carbon Mega X / Magnesium Techno Fiber Bands

Laminates

Spread Toe Carbon

Flattened widely aligned carbon fibers maximize strength, minimize weight and eliminate potential stress/break points associated with woven carbon fabrics. Light, strong and responsive.

33° Carbon Mesh

Light strong, lively carbon fiber oriented to maximize torsional response from control points to contacts points for maximum performance.

S-Glass Strips

High silica content glass fiber that has high tensile strength, high elastic modulus great overall strength to weight properties.

Triaxial Fiberglass

0° x 45° x 45° oriented fiber combination creates the perfect balance of torsional responsiveness and overall flex performance.

Anti Matter

Travis pushed Mervin's experiMental division for less weight, and they gave him Apex performance: 3-D carbon reinforced absence of matter in the tip and tail, reducing spin weight.

Sidewalls

Birch Internal Sidewalls

UHMW Sintered Sidewalls

UHMW Tip / Tail Impact Deflection

Base

Sintered Knife Cut Base

High density UHMW. Optimized wax retention and toughness. Wax regularly and repair professionally.

Edges

Magne-Traction®

Strategically located edge serrations provide unreal edge hold and control in all conditions. Turns ice into powder.

Topsheet

Eco Sublimated Bio Beans Top

This plant oil based top material is environmentally friendly, rugged, scratch resistant and prints amazingly well with Mervin's eco sublimation process.

    Terrain

    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice. Freeride
Freeride snowboards are designed for the rider that spends most of the day off groomed runs and in backcountry terrain. They typically have a stiffer flex and are ridden in longer sizes than freestyle snowboards. Freeride snowboards often feature a directional shape that is designed to perform optimally in one direction. Powder
Powder snowboards love powder. Often associated with freeride snowboards, powder boards sometimes feature a wider nose and a tapered narrower tail. The binding inserts, which determine the rider's stance, are often set back on a powder snowboard to help the rider float the tip of the board through the deep stuff. Powder snowboards sometimes also feature rocker, a design element where the tip (and tail) rise starts farther back on the board, which also helps the rider maintain tip float through the pow.

    Ability Level

    Intermediate-Advanced
Whether you’re a progressing intermediate exploring new runs and terrain, or an accomplished rider seeking new thrills, the majority of skiers and snowboarders fall into this level. Intermediate to advanced skis and snowboards may be somewhat wider or stiffer than beginner-intermediate skis and snowboards, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Intermediate to advanced boots and bindings range from softer flexing freestyle options to stiffer choices built for stability at speed.

  • Rocker Type:
    Camber/Rocker/Camber

    More

    Rocker Type

    Camber/Rocker/Camber
Camber/Rocker/Camber is a profile that’s specific to snowboards and which works because the rider’s weight flattens the two cambered areas. This design produces a strong, pressured carving zone between the rider’s feet and retains pop and carving precision at the tip and tail.

    More

    Flex Rating

    Stiff
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboardflex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
