A living legend since 1996, the Burton Custom continues to define all-mountain excellence with a time-tested recipe of traditional camber and a directional twin shape. The lightweight wood core and carbon reinforcement keep things poppy and precise whether you’re laying down carves, boosting natural hits, or hunting for powder stashes.
Camber
–
Tried and true, camber has been the dominant board bend in the snowboard industry for almost 40 years. Cambered snowboards deliver precise turning and edge control, with spring-loaded pop providing better jumping characteristics.
Flex
Personality
–
4 – 7 (1 Soft – 10 Stiff)
Twin Flex
–
The flex is perfectly symmetrical from tip to tail for a balanced ride that's equally versatile regular or switch.
Shape
Directional
–
The classic snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while still giving you plenty of float, flow, and control to rip any terrain or condition.
Core
Super Fly II™ 700G Core
–
Stronger and lighter woods target specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength, and reduced weight.
Dualzone™ EGD™
–
The wood grain is positioned along the toe and heel edges on two continuous zones, perpendicular to the rest of the wood core for consistent edge-hold and added strength.
Squeezebox
–
Burton's most versatile Squeezebox profile improves pop and performance through the balance of thicker, more powerful core sections with thinner, more flexible sections. Rider energy is transferred outward from beneath the feet, energizing the tip and tail while making the board snappier, more stable and easier to manipulate.
Laminates
45˚ Carbon Highlights
–
Carbon Highlights optimizes each layer of the fiberglass matrix and adds a full tip-to-tail carbon layer to reduce weight and fine tune torsional feel to achieve different ride characteristics. A 60° fiber angle creates a highly maneuverable and playful feel, while a 45° fiber angle provides a more aggressive ride.
Base
Sintered WFO
–
Infusing a specially formulated wax deep into the pores of this extra-absorbent, high-density sintered material results in an ultra-durable base that stays wide open all season and in any condition.
Edges
Frostbite Edges
–
Frostbite edges extend out slightly from the sidewall of the board for added bite when you need it and a smooth and buttery ride when you don't.
Additional Features
Infinite Ride™
–
This Burton-exclusive technology allows maximized pop and strength by overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks in the board for you. Whether you choose to ride Flat Top, Flying V™, or Camber, rest assured that with Infinite Ride™ your board will maintain its flex, pop, and feel from the first day forward, season after season.
Super Sap® Epoxy
–
A resin formulated with bio-based materials that reduces the carbon footprint by 50% over conventional all-petroleum-based epoxies. Less oil consumption means even less of a carbon footprint per board.
Binding Compatibility
The Channel® Mounting System
–
Stronger, faster, easier, and more adjustable — The Channel™ gives you ultimate control of your stance and your board in a design compatible with all major bindings (not just Burton's).
Channel Inserts Included
–
Channel Inserts are required to mount your bindings. Inspect packaging before disposing.

Terrain
All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice. Freeride
Freeride snowboards are designed for the rider that spends most of the day off groomed runs and in backcountry terrain. They typically have a stiffer flex and are ridden in longer sizes than freestyle snowboards. Freeride snowboards often feature a directional shape that is designed to perform optimally in one direction. -

Intermediate-AdvancedMore
Ability Level
Intermediate-Advanced
Whether you’re a progressing intermediate exploring new runs and terrain, or an accomplished rider seeking new thrills, the majority of skiers and snowboarders fall into this level. Intermediate to advanced skis and snowboards may be somewhat wider or stiffer than beginner-intermediate skis and snowboards, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Intermediate to advanced boots and bindings range from softer flexing freestyle options to stiffer choices built for stability at speed. -

CamberMore
Rocker Type
Camber
Camber is the traditional profile for snowboards, and still popular among high-level park and pipe riders because it offers maximum energy and pop. A cambered board has a smooth arch underfoot and touches near the tip and tail when unweighted; when the rider’s weight is added, it provides a long, evenly pressured running surface and edge. -

Flex Rating:
MediumMore
Flex Rating
Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboardflex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard. -
