The Public Snowboards Display Snowboard isn’t made to shy away from the limelight. It’s built for the type of rider who gets equally sendy in the park and the backcountry, and who never misses an opportunity to get the chairlift whooping and hollering. A medium-stiff flex with carbon and aramid stringers means you’ll never lack for pop or energy, and it’s built tough to survive rails, concrete, and any other features you can smash your edges on.

Core
Poplar Light Core
–
A premium version of Public's tried and true Poplar core using 100% FCS certified wood. Strategically placed lightweight paulownia wood throughout the core reduces weight but maintains a snappy feel, while strips of hardwood are placed underneath the bindings to reduce board breaks and increase insert retention.
Laminates
Carbon Stringers
–
A 20mm wide carbon stringer running tip to tail increases overall pop and response without increasing torsional flex to keep the board feeling lively and nimble underfoot. Carbon stringers are the most effective way to add pop without increasing weight.
Aramid Stringers
–
Aramid Stringers are strategically placed in a V pattern in the tip and tail for increased durability, dampening and a dose of added pop.
Biax Glass
–
All Public Snowboards are made using Biax fiberglass, creating a smooth and consistent flex from tip to tail while allowing the board to stay nimble and predictable.
Sidewalls
Urethane Sidewalls
–
Urethane sidewalls are used on all Public snowboards for their superior dampening properties compared to industry standard ABS and P-Tex sidewalls. Urethane sidewalls are also more durable against impacts to prevent your board from delaminating.
Base
Sintered Base
–
Sintered bases are more porous for maximum wax absorption, and more abrasion resistant. In other words, faster and more durable!

Terrain:
Freestyle, All-MountainMore
Terrain
Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard. All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice. -

Ability Level
Intermediate-Advanced
Whether you’re a progressing intermediate exploring new runs and terrain, or an accomplished rider seeking new thrills, the majority of skiers and snowboarders fall into this level. Intermediate to advanced skis and snowboards may be somewhat wider or stiffer than beginner-intermediate skis and snowboards, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Intermediate to advanced boots and bindings range from softer flexing freestyle options to stiffer choices built for stability at speed. -
Rocker Type:
Rocker/Flat/RockerMore
Rocker Type
Rocker/Flat/Rocker
Rocker/Flat/Rocker is another variation on the rocker theme that seeks to provide a little more hard snow edgehold and pop than full rocker while retaining ease of turning and float. Performance is between a fully rockered board and a flat board. -

Flex Rating:
StiffMore
Flex Rating
Stiff
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboardflex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard. -
